What I love about this stock ticker is the NEWS. I've used several tickers over the years and this is the *only* one that provides instant access to news items. This arrangement mirrors my own thought process...when I see that the stock price is changing, I immediately want to know the reason for the change.
Stock Menulet shows Twitter updates in addition to news items. I thought I wouldn't like this but it is actually pretty cool. Seeing these items gives me the feeling that I am in a very active chatroom.
Wow. Overwhelming. Great (I think!), but overwhelming.
I am a person with a great interest and moderate experience in wine, looking for an app that might educate me a bit, help me catalogue a few bottles, and maybe connect with others having similar taste.
This app is more of a straight-up cataloguing app for somebody with a cellar of like 500 bottles. It seems to have a million features, including food pairings. For the most part, these features are not intuitively easy to use.
In short, if you are hard core, you'll love this app. If you are a bit of a dilettante or you have fewer than 50 bottles in your cellar, then this is probably more than you need.
Love this app. Allows me to indulge my addiction to Twitter while still making at least a modicum of progress on other work! It was very positively reviewed on the Neat Little Mac Apps podcast:
Theoretically, this looks very cool--but the download page seems to have been converted into some kind of click-harvesting scam. Or maybe it is just a bunch of legitimate advertising. In any case, though, the program seems to be gone! Check into it, MacUpdate.

I just feel it could be easier to use. I want to be able to choose from a nice list of RSS feeds like those shown in the screenshot.
So, I think it is a very nice piece of software--but perhaps a little more than I personally was looking for.
