I have been a supporter and devotee of this application from the start. I love the way it displays your pictures and I love its GUI. The developer deserves credit for making a great application.
@Morgan_Alex That is too bad. NOTHING will dissuade me from expressing my opinion on what I consider to be right. If you didn't listen to both sides of the story then SHAME ON YOU! The Developer and his buddys in Europe have deluged me with garbage hoping I will sit down and take it. I won't.There is a sign on the Hudson County Courthouse in New Jersey that says:"If you stand well STAND FAST" I intend to follow that credo. It doesn't matter to me if 10million people disagree if I know I am right!
This is my letter to the DEVELOPER which was unanswered: No wonder you don't use the MacAppStore. It is their policy that once you BUY an app you should be able to install it on as many Macs that you own!!!! You changed your policy after 8.1 for the WORSE!!!!! I have been a supporter of your app from the start. I own 6Macs and I know that many users own the same! You should have WARNED people that only 2Macs can be used!!!! Shame on you!!!!
Yes it is necessary! Your reply was received by me after my posting and you pointed out the Adobe app. We are discussing YOUR app not Adobe. You should have WARNED people that only 2 Macs could be activated. There are a lot of us that have more than 2 Macs. It is a shame that you were so worried about someone stealing your app that you resorted to this tactic! I posted so that other Mac users would not be fooled into thinking they could use this app on all their Macs!
@Dirkthemenace You are aptly named. It was a mistake not that it was any of your business. @German060 Learn to spell.I didn't intend to shame a good app. As a matter of fact I like it.I objected to the manner of upgrading. Namely 2 Macs. The Developer says he is going to correct that in a new version. He has been very cooperative since my original posting. I have NEVER insulted anyone nor do I intend to be insulted. 'Nuff said.
Apparently they CHANGED their policy after version 8.1 If you have 8.1 DO NOT UPGRADE and you will be able to install on as many Macs you own. This is only FAIR!!!
@DirkTHEMENACE KMA!!! I wrote to the Developer and explained that this policy is WRONG and many users like myself have more than 2 Macs. Based on YOUR record you are NOTHING to brag about yourself. I hope you understand that the Developer should tell users that 2 Macs are the limit! Apparently you are associated with this developer. Kava Tunes uses this kind of policy and it has failed miserably. I believe Most Mac users would agree with me on this!
You are absolutely wrong Rondalerol. This app is for PPC Macs so that they can run a version of Firefox that sort of looks like version 5. It is designed to run on PPC Macs of 10.4.11 or LATER!
Maybe I can't download the CORRECT copy because of this Due to circumstances beyond our control, services hosted on Floodgap servers are temporarily down or redirected
@MikaelB I have to explain. I did get the G5 version as that was the only version available through MacUpdate. As I mentioned previously the Developer's web site is down and there was no way to get any other version for my G4 Macs. I'm sorry you saw it necessary to insult me. I am not computer illiterate and am a proud user of MacPorts.
This is the BEST performing Music Playing App that I encountered.I have tried them all,Cog,Play ,Songbird ,Taplay even Foobar(which is pretty good but has to be configured with X11) but this is special.I bought it sight unseen without trying it because of the Developer's reputation. It turned out to be a good decision.
If You are running a G4 and you have Handbrake do NOT upgrade as the app will be useless. If you have Handbrake.93 and you launch it Handbrake will offer to give you .94 Do not take the offer.Skip it as you will end up with a useless app.If you do upgrade you will find.93 in the trash pick it out of the trash and put it back in your app folder.
Itried to get rid of the Ping thingee on my lists and it worked on my external drive but when I used the default command on my internal drive I got this and ping didn't go away. defaults write com.apple.itunes hide-ping-dropdown -bool YES

Although I enjoyed using it with the prior version I tried it in this current version and it just did not work.I installed the app and the preference pane.I clicked on a link in my mail and the unix firewall came up as usual asking me if I wanted to open it. I said yes and nothing happened. I clicked the link a second time and the Unix built in again asked me if I wanted to open it I said yes and again nothing happened. I trashed the preference pane and the app as well as the preferences and crash reporter after installing it twice.I am using a MacBook Pro with 10.5.8 and 4GB of Ram.
I need some help.Any help would be appreciated. I am using 10.5.8 I was eager to try this app as I use Usenet a great deal using Unison,Hogwasher,Thoth and xnntp. I inserted my newsserver in preferences and username and password.I got no listing of groups as I usually do with other Usenet Apps. I would like to use this app as most of the users think it is good and I will register it but I want it to work,I tried support but there was no manual, read me or directions. Can someone help me?
Thank you for your reply! I appreciate the advice. I am enthusiastic about this approach.I notice that when I open an NZB file in xnntp app it downloads the NZB but then after that Unison opens and places the downloaded files on my Desktop in a Folder. Unison is my default app for Usenet files. Will this behavior continue in NZBVortex? Must I change my default Usenet app? Can you give me a suggestion for a Search Engine? Do I simply drag and drop the NZB file onto your app? I know so many questions! But I do want to get my feet wet!LOL
