Although this software is way better than the older ones, and is compatible with Leopard, it's still pretty bad. Besides causing frequent kernel panics when waking my computer from sleep, it also renders Linkinus useless, among other problems.

But at least you can control your mouse, right?
Can't wait for an update!

BitClamp is a great app. I'm very surprised to see the negative reviews on this.

BitClamp is very different from the encryption appications I've seen so far (Data Guardian, Exces).
Exces, for instance, creates a .dmg-like virtual disk that is encrypted with a password, but can only be opened using Exces.

Data Guardian creates a database of encrypted files that hold information. But this is limiting, because it does not encrypt whole folders and other files.

BitClamp, however, can encrypt multiple files, no matter what they are, and compresses them together into a file that does not rely on BitClamp to be opened.

And besides, the UI is clean and minimalistic and is incredibly easy to use.

Unlike all of you, I have had no problems updating to v 2.0. I upgraded my serial number and installed the new iWow. Easy as that.

I really like this new version and its ability to choose presets for me. The new presets work great, and I have never been disappointed with it.

I do wonder what was just installed on my computer, because it now freezes up every two days or so, and I have to reboot my computer 3 times just to get the Login Window to load properly...

The best password manager ever! I generate long and complicated passwords and never have to remember them again. Extremely useful for someone who goes online daily.

Great update Apple!
This update makes me incredibly happy, first because my computer is faster, second because this means Leopard is coming soon!

For best results, restart twice instead of once and make sure to repair permissions.
