DVDxDV Pro
hyperlink commented on 11 Apr 2008
I've used DVDxDV and DVDxDV Pro for years and have co-workers who use it heavily, daily. I agree that MPEG Streamclip does most of the same things and more. One thing that Streamclip doesn't do is handle DVD's from DVD's from DVD Recorders well. There is a lengthy process where you have to "Fix Timecode Breaks". DVDxDV or the Pro version is much more efficient to work with if your DVD's come from stand-alone DVD Recorders. My main gripe is that DVDxDV and the pro version leave jaggies in areas of high color saturation and movement. Seems like some kind of interlacing artifact. MPEG Streamclip seems to handle the same footage with a more pleasing effect to me.
