Some long videos will not complete; keep rebooting. Generally this App has been quite valuable for me; several treasures in my iTunes library as a consequence. My recent problem is that Mac Update says there is an update but when I try to go to it via the Jaksta menu, I'm told I have the latest.
App Cleaner works fine in OS 10.7.1 and it's free. I bought App Delete in the Apple App Store and it never worked for me although it had all sorts of search features and touted its Lion readiness. I recommend choosing AppCleaner. It's very similar to AppZapper I used in OS 10.4.11 on my old PPC.
@xXAkumuXx - In the app window with all related files checked for the item I wished to delete I clicked delete and nothing happened; I tried again sevral times and no action; the log for each action was in the Log section but the item (OmniWeb)remained until I downloaded AppCleaner and instantly solved the problem.
I was all set to download and try the new Beta Chrome but the download site says for MacOS 10.5 or Intel. I am 10.4.11 G5 Motorola chip. I'm not planning on forking out a fortune for new hardware & other new software just to use Google Chrome. Thanks anyway Google.
When I saw this was a finalized version I downloaded via Software Update (& when that was DOA via MacUpdate for Tiger). My experience on my MacPowerPC G5 with System 10.4.11 was identical to the Beta version. Safari4 bounced in the dock and aborted instantly. On both my tries I ended up sending Apple a report. Finally I deleted everything I could find that was Safari, believing I could restore from an external hard drive. I lost virtually all my bookmarks, but by exporting from Camino was able to get most back for Safari 3.2.3 with a lot of maneuver. This is one of my worst Mac experiences in some time. At least the Beta had an uninstall and restore function. As far as I know I had no add ons in Safari.
Rather than downloading from MacUpdate I went to System Preferences and ran the update from my Flip4Mac App there. For the first time in ages it did say a new version was appropriate - go to free update. When I started my download however, I wasn't getting 2.2.2.3; my download said 2.2.1.11 (which is what I have presently have as Studio version.
I aborted the download & I'm confused.
I downloaded the Tiger Safari 4.0b1 and installed. When I tried to launch/open the app it quit instantly each time; I did "try again" several times and then did a report to Apple.
Fortunately there is an uninstall provided and it restores to previous status.
I am on a G5 single processor PowerPC (not Intel) using OS10.4.11 and 2 GB RAM.
Not long ago at a local Mac Club meeting we were invited to say what application we thought was our best investment. I named VueScan, but now feel I
jinxed myself. I reverted recently from 8.3.5 back to a saved 8.3.30 because the behavior has become undependable in the updates. I am using the latest
Mac OS on a G5 but have an Espon Perfection 1640SU
scanner. I prefer advanced option settings. Last update to 8.3.5 simply caused an immediate crash of the VueScan application when opened.
O.K. My bad. I posted a few days back how disgusted I was with the Safari4 experience. It immediately bounced in my dock & quit. I maneuvered and finally gave up and restored my previous Tiger Safari. I said I didn't think I had any attached programs like input managers.
I was wrong. I had Sogudi. Once I ditched the plug in files, plist files etc. associated with that I tried installing Safari4 again and this time wowee. It seems to be working fine.
I had quit bothering with Sogudi so long ago I had totally forgotten it.
