Aurora3DAnimation
Holypoly commented on 12 Feb 2012
Hmm.
Here's one "user comment" from Aurora3D Software's web page:

"This program looks very useful. I am definitely going to download and try it. Animation 3D looks very useful as well. It's amazing how many software titles get introduced in bitsdujour that I would not otherwise have encountered.
I just finished experimenting with 3D Animation Maker. Wow, I am very impressed! I exported one of the samples as an avi and am very pleased with the quality. Thank you for the deal--the purchase was a "no brainer" after the trial. I will definitely be considering Presentation 3D in the future.
---- Don Goddard (United States) "

Sounds genuine, doesn't it.
Apart from that, the software looks worth a trial.

Here's the other one (sorry, couldn't help:

"I wanted to tell you know how much I am enjoying your software. I bought the 3D text maker, now I bought the 3D animation maker. Both of these programs will make my video projects really stand out.

"
MathStudio is the first and only graphing app that can also graph not only in space but in time".
Not quite true. Graphing Calculator does the same - but in favour of MathStudio it has to be said that GC costs $99.

Apple Mac OS X
Holypoly had trouble on 23 Jun 2011
An updated version of the mach_kernel file (creation date: June 8, 2011) made my MBP shutdown prematurely after applying the MBP Software Update ver1,4 . Restoring the older mach_kernel (March 6 2011) from back-up made everything normal again.
The 10.6.8 Combo Updater also installs the newer mach_kernel at Root level, and again the MBP would shut down during boot, before the login screen. Safe Boot would let me proceed a couple of minutes beyond login, before the mac would shut down without any error message. No clue in the system log (last entry before shutdown was "BUG found in libdispatch" - hm).
Again, replacing the mach_kernel file with the older version of which I had kept a copy, cured the problem, and as I am typing this, my MBP has been running without a hitch for almost one hour.
Another poster at MU (a_w) had similar problems with his MBP 13 Early 2011 after applying the MBP SW 1.4 updater, again with the new mach_kernel file being the culprit.
Hope this can help anybody having skipped the MBP 2011 software update and experiencing premature shutdowns of their new macbook pro after updating to Snowy 10.6.8.

Apple Mac OS X
Holypoly had trouble on 23 Jun 2011
After installing the Combo updater, my MBP 13 Early 2011 would shut down spontaneously during startup, even before log-in.
Safe boot made it survive a couple of minutes longer, then it would shut down without a kernel panic. No clue in the system log (last message before shutdown was, however, that a bug was found in libdispatch - hm).
Then I remembered a similar problem after installing the MacBook Pro Software Updater 1.4, which amongst a couple of framework updates also updated the mach_kernel file at Root level. Replacing that with the previous mach_kernel file made the premature shutdown issue go away.
The 10.6.8 updater again replaced the older mach_kernel with the newer item, I found (using Path Finder). Fortunately I was able to boot from an emergency drive and then replace the mach_kernel with the older version. VoilĂ  - everything runs stable now.
This problem seems to be specific to some MBP 13 Early 2011, as another poster here on MU (a_w) encountered a similar issue with his own machine, and again the newer mac_kernel appeared to be the culprit.
If anybody needs the old mach_kernel, I would be able to send it to him or her.

Sticky Windows
Holypoly had trouble on 07 May 2007
The "ghost window" bug is still present in 2.1.1 - "tabbing" the Eye TV window and then hiding it produces an ugly white box overlying part of the desktop thant can't be moved or removed. I still have to reboot to get rid of the artifact.

The chat window takes years to load with this new version, and the chat option can't be turned off - it loads even if the corresponding box in "Community Chat..." is unchecked. Deleting the .plist file doesn't help. Version 4.13.1.6 didn't have this problem.

SRS iWOW Premium
Holypoly had trouble on 01 Apr 2007
I still got that "garbled menu text" issue in iWOW 1.1.8 (and 1.1.6 before) - but only on my Mac Pro (10.4.9 w/all patches, only haxie is Instant Hijack Server by Rogue Amoeba which should not interfere with either iTunes or iWOW).
My MacMini Intel (same software constellation) shows no such problem.
After a few seconds, the text in the Preset menu becomes unreadable, because all characters appear on top of each other. Not only that, but iTunes quits unexpectedly when launching a song, but ONLY until the garbled text synptom in iWOW manifests itself (after that, iTunes regains its stability).
I ran every possible check'n'repair utility, even reinstalled the 10.4.9 Combo update, nothing helps. Anybody else out there...?

Sometimes, the song will start playing but iTunes the quits after a few seconds. Or, starting a song by double-clicking it crashes iTunes after launch, but selecting the song and then clicking the Play button does not (the song starts playing). Bringing the iWOW window to the front while a song is playing makes iTunes quit, as long as text in the Preset menu looks normal.
In a few rare cases, everything was quite normal right from launch, i.e. no crashes despite normal text in the iWOW window.
When the abnormal text starts to show, clicking on "About" and "help" (still iWOW) corrupts the word that just got clicked on, too. Weird.

SRS iWOW Premium

From SRSLabs' website:

NOTE: iWOW will not work on the specific combination of OS 10.3.9 with iTunes 7. iWOW may have intermittent compatability issues with iTunes 7 and OSX 10.4.7. We are currently investigating.
