I wish NNA would stop adding new fluffy crap to please the press and instead focus on fixing the terrible lack of fundamentals and odd methods of working the product has.
• Still no X fence type unless you buy the French version.
• Detail callouts not included even with Arch package.
These are basic drafting elements from decades ago. Other gripes:
• Design/Sheet viewport system is awful.
• BIM is an afterthought implementation. I expect "LEED" tools to be the next crap package.
• IFC export is not up to par.
• Does not make use of current MacOS technologies
• GUI is a miss-mash of odd fonts and windowing elements.
Despite all of these tragedies, it's still far more productive for simple 2D drawing than AutoCAD, Arris, etc etc.
Good stuff. Could do with the following features:-
Graphite selection option.
Custom refresh time option.
Achievements pane with sort functions.
Messages pane: Search function. Sort functions (Status, Tag, Gamerscore, game being played - this'd be better than Live itself). Adjustable text sizes.
Messages window: Adjustable text sizes. Instead of buttons at the bottom, perhaps a toolbar at the top would look better (and would be more consistent).
Why does is say "just chilling" at the bottom?
"Sender" and "Preview" text ought be size 9.
Growl: Option to disable notifications for online contacts when the app is started (ie just for contacts that sign on after you have).
Sluggish and at times completely unresponsive interface on a 1.67ghz/2gb powerbook, often resulting in crashing. A damn shame because it looks great.
The iTunes-like window at the top of the application doesn't update to show your current action etc, despite deleting the supplied examples and emptying trash.
I'd really love to make use of this application, but as it stands it's more like a late beta than v1+
