It works! Switch on Netatalk on the iPhone and home and root are automatically mounted. Very cool! Thanks for all the hard work. First time I ran it, the program exited abnormally when it tried to mount the shares - since then it seems to work fine.
Seems to have gotten worse from 1.1 - iPhone shows up in finder with Netatalk switched on - can connect to shares through finder. When I add the shares to Bonjour Mounter, it does not seem to see the iphone at all. At least with version 1.1, it seemed to react to the Bonjour signal and tried to connect, now absolutely nothing happens.
I am trying to use this with my iPhone and Netatalk (AFP). While I can create the mount in the "Mount Window", no amount of clicking "Mount all" will get the entered SharePoint to mount.
I am able to mount the share point manually - it shows up in Finder under "Shared" when I activate AFP on the iPhone and clicking on the icon brings up the two SharePoint - Mobile and Root. But Bonjour Mounter does not seem to want to mount either SharePoint at all. Would be great to get this working...
I can get it to work if I replace the Server name (which appears in the drop-down menu) in the mount window with the IP address of the iPhone. The strange thing is the iPhone then shows up a second time in the Finder window under "Shared" but with the name "localhost".
Trying to connect in Bonjour Mounter using the Server name: "Mark's iPhone" under as shown under "Shared" in Finder does not work.
Hey there Dev - please do try to get this working. It at least detects the presence of the Bonjour share on the iPhone! I removed the user name and password as suggested and saved the settings for two mountpoints - home and root on my iphone. I switched Netatalk on on the iphone and I got the same message for both mount points : "Connection failed - The server may not exist or it is not operational at this time. Check the server name or IP address and your network connection and try again."
If I put anything into the user / password boxes I get no message when I switch on Netatalk. And as already mentioned, if I replace the name of the server with the IP address, then I can mount the shares manually. But they are not detected automatically.
Great program! Works very reliably for me. Two requests: 1) It would be great if you could queue up more than one download. 2) It would be great if the program added the new files directly into the iTunes library (or at least make this an option).
That way I could wake up, go to iplayer - select the progs I want, go have a shower, brekkie, come back and sync the files directly into my iphone.
