RipIt is very easy to handle and never failed!

Befor you start a rip make sure that the choosen folder really exists or you will receive a message that ripping will not be uccessful.

Works really great - and doesn't cost too much.

Audio Tuner

Audio Tuner offers different tunings for guitar and other string instruments. If you wish it synthesizes the tone. (Deep notes sound terrible and not useful.)

The handling is very easy.
The results of the measured analysis change very quick (for me too quick) and it seems to me as if the overtones have a big influence on the results.
The spectrum analyzer is funny but offers no help if your actual tuning is far from the desired one.

I'd recommend to allay the indication and maybe use arrows as pointers to the right tunings.

Tested with the built-in microphone of a MacBook Pro.

Hurra - it works again (with OS 10.6.3) and got some new features.

The GUI is very intuitive. Handling is very easy. It offers several possibitlities to plot and to show data. It never crashed. And it's free!

MjoGraph doesn't work on my MacBookPro (2.16 GHz; 2GB; OS 10.6.1).
It stopped working after the installation of OS 10.6. After starting MjoGraph it "disappears" after one or two seconds. Very sad because I like MjoGraph. Any idea?

Apple Logic Pro

Though MacUpdate writes that Logic would work on both platforms - Intel and PPC: Apple informs that the minimum requirement is a Mac computer with an Intel processor!
Very sad!!

In addition to my first posting here: Meanwhile I could read in the German magazin "KEYS" that
APPLE CONFIRMED THAT LOGIC 9.0 WOULD WORK ON BOTH PLATFORMS!!!

If this will still be true in a few weeks: Apple, you made my day. Hip, hip, hurra! Besides: That does not mean that the other programs in the Logic-9-box work on PPC.

Works very fine on MacBookPro (10.5.6) with the internal and an external DVD burner. Does all what I expect, easy to use, no problems at all.

What a lot of fun!

TechTool Pro

After starting the TechTool system preferences they colapse - each time!
