Monopoly Here & Now

I was considering buying this but this is the third time this month I've been put off purchasing software solely because of the intrusive digital protection that LEGIT users have to put up with. As usual, no such annoyances for those that steal the software. The irony and idiocy continues with these clueless software companies.

Path Finder
GreenAlien commented on 18 Jan 2009
I just tried the trial version while maczot had a special on. I found the app a little slow, and it had a negative impact on system performance. For example expose would go jittery during animated scale effect. I tried running ForkLift (which also has a Finder-like dual-pain setup) and no performance issues with that. I therefore decided not to purchase Path Finder.

It would be nice if Path Finder and ForkLift met somewhere in the middle though and started to implement each other's features. Either Path Finder implement FTP/SSH/sync transfers or Fork Lift implement more local file browser functionality.

Looks like a handy app to have but completely put off by the restrictive licensing. If you plan to upgrade your Mac you have to buy this app again. Meanwhile others who steal the app don't suffer this inconvenience. Some software developers need to get a clue about piracy and how to offer incentives to buy their apps. Browny points for licensing to the individual rather than machine (so can be installed on multiple machines).

Unintuitive interface. Not clear what to do if all I want to do is view the MD5 for a file.

Pangea Arcade

I purchased some 3d Anaglyph glasses (more expensive plastic glasses rather than the cardboard ones) to use with Nucleus but it was unusable because of the ghosting. It really needs a calibration setting. The game itself when played without 3d glasses is addictive and well made.
