The 3.5.10 cannot be complied on Mac OS X 10.7 Lion with the latest Xcode. I think this package should be removed from the Macupdate forever because it is no longer work anyway. Just make user to confuse it is a Mac package but actually it does no longer work.
It is really a joke. It wouldn't multi-thread on multi CPU cores system!!! Oh my God! It only draws 1 CPU core to work in my 12 cores Westmere Mac Pro!!! Jesus Crisis. We are no longer to work on a 80386 computer! Why no multi-threading support?!!
It takes 5 hours to complete the job of compressing 50GB iso files into multi-segmented far files!
I found a new bug of Candybar 3.3 in Mac OS X 10.7 Lion that the applied icons in the new feature of Lion called "Launch Pad" will NOT be changed. Which means 3.3 has not be evolved to align with the new OS. What a disappointed.
1. The "Favorite" (profile) cannot be deleted on my Platform (Mac Pro 2010). The minus button just doesn't work to remove a unwanted profile.
2. If there is a timer (by 24 hour unit)) to allow users to switch the preset Favorite (profile) automatically will be nice. Such as in the afternoon, the environmental temperature is hot so that it will load a higher RPM preset profile automatically (predefined by hour range, such as 13:00 - 18:00). And at night (21:00 - 02:00), it would switch to a lower RPM preset profile because the environment temperature is lower. So that to save the power and making less noise at midnight. If a timer feature does exist. It is almost perfect. By now, I have to switch the profiles twice times a day manually (Afternoon, and at night.)
It can read the Bluray Disc structure is one of the most valuable feature that you can't find out in other converters like iFFMPEG. However, the only draw back is that it takes all the CPU resource (2000% CPU) while it is encoding the movie. Even on my 12 cores, 32GB RAM Mac Pro. It drains of all of my CPU resources and left nothing for other applications to run. It is just exhaust the whole system CPU resources no matter how powerful your CPU is.
I would advise the developer, to enable an option button to users that allowing us to allocate CPU resource in terms of percentage for encoding jobs. This avoids the Handbrake to exhaust all CPU resources and re-enabling the system with multitasking capability. At this stage, it is just too overwhelming.
Is it a joke? The Maximum Video BitRate only up to 9128kbit/s (9Mbps) ??? In Handbrake can do up to 30Mbps without any problem!!!! I can't think these crap can be used to convert BD Movie. Go for Handbrake!
Ok, I may be a fool. Can somebody pin point me how the hell to adjust the video bitrate between 9Mbps to 30Mbps thru this GUI? I don't want "identical to original" or "less than 9Mbps. Huhs?
Ok, I confirmed I am a fool. But I have the following suggestion to refine the GUI. I am a new user to this. For the gap space between "Preset Menu" and "free form box". Please place a word "OR" will be nice for new customers/comers. I was confused by the GUI. Sorry for the trouble.
