Nice job on this so far! I very rarely want to do a full scan of the entire hard drive, so while I agree it should be one of the quick options to scan when starting DaisyDisk, I feel that at least the home folder should be an immediate shortcut as well. Ultimately, I think it would be nice to have the option to populate that initial list of choices of locations to search manually.
Thank you for this! It would be perfect for me if you could choose to hide the launched apps so that you don't have windows popping up and shifting spaces. Even worse, ending up on a random pick of the launched bunch. Thanks!
I understand your point, but actually for my needs it would make sense. I am speaking of particularly the apps such as Mail, Things and Safari. Core apps such as this that have notifications and are generally needed throughout the entire logged in experience.
I realize that you could set these items to launch and hide at startup, but I hate loading down my start time. I would rather choose to do a multiple launch on my terms. Thanks!
Perfect for me. Just what I have been waiting for! The new ability to close automatically after zipping, sold it for me. I even sent my $4.95 to remove the ads! ;)
Great to see someone working on this! Please keep it up. I love using Chrome during the day at work. Please don't be discouraged by the naive opinions of those who do not understand the importance of growth and change.
Oh, and could you please make the next build so that the window will appear (after being closed) by just clicking the dock icon and not having to select New Window from the menu or shortcut. Maybe some history, bookmarks, extensions... Just kidding. ;) Keep up the good work!
I love the concept, but it is like reading a newspaper that someone keeps stealing the pages from before you can read them. Articles are constantly replaced before you can even get to them (should stay until you decide to remove them like every other practical newsreader) and there is no way to tell consistently what is new and what has been read. Nor can you choose to mark an article read or unread. Occasionally (almost randomly) you will see a blue indicator next to a few articles, but never with complete accuracy. These are features essential to a "newsreader". Nice idea, but unusable for me at this point.
Sorry. Hopefully I figured out that it was a program that I installed at the same time (Dashboard Kickstart). After testing a few login and outs that appears to be the case. Whew, that was scarry!
That's great HELIOS9. Unfortunately, my experience is not the same. I have had no response to emails or here at MacUpdate and I have many apps that launch in the background. I would like to invest as well as give a better report, but the supposed Leopard fix is not working for me and no one has let me know anything.
Was really wanting to purchase this, but I am still getting the launch in background problem here. Very annoying. Hopefully this can be fully fixed someday.
Looks like a great app, but I seem to be having one problem with it. When I lock the screen the first couple of times after launching the program, it does fine. After locking the screen a few times the lock image stops appearing and I only get the blank wallpaper. I can still click on it and enter the password, but sometimes when I click on it the screen even goes completely black. Thanks.
Also, when the lock does not appear, the dialog box that you enter the password in does not come up either. You just have to type in the password blindly.
