Especially for the money, VisualHub destroyed the competition! Sure, you can look through the Internet listings for transcoders and find something else that will convert Windows Media to QuickTime, no problem - but that's only if you have at least a hundred dollars to spend, and usually such an app will cost even more.
Once in a while it would glitch, but more often it would straighten out files about which QuickTime would complain: "This is not a movie file." Well, sorry, Mr. QuickTime Program Analysis Facilitator, but nine times out of ten, VisualHub would come through beautifully with nary a hitch (except that it would take a little longer to convert those videos than it would the uncorrupted ones).
In conclusion, it's the best $25 I ever spent on an application.
