@Star-Affinity. Good question. I asked one of the guys on the OpenGL Architectural Review Board. He even mentions this in the 2006 Blender Conference presentation about OpenGL optimizations (at around 43:10): http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=847205086747563852#
Bu yeah, I'm not a graphics developer. Would be a good explanation why the same game runs so much slower on the same hardware on the Mac than on Windows (we did quite a bit of testing and this is typically the case, with both Windows and OS X using OpenGL drivers).
Indeed, it would make more sense for Invidia to provide Apple with the drivers, but maybe Apple changes them somehow to fit their proprietary platform. So maybe the better question is not who *makes* the drivers, but rather who *breaks* them? Dunno.. :-)
Very nice! Gives the best performance out of all the UPNP servers I've tested. Can even play stream 3mb/s HD video (h.264) over AirPort with hardly any dropouts. Also supports subtitles. The commercial apps should really step up their game against this one.
Great work!
