I cannot agree with Linotype way of doing business.
First they try to get us hocked making it free for a while.
Eventually they simply start charging for it knowing that most of us simply don't feel comfortable changing apps.
(The initial "change inertia" is a strong force that should always be considered)
I'm a long time FEX user (since the first beta) but frankly I hate that sort of tricks so much that I refuse to buy the new version.
I'd rather pay to another company that at least was honest enough to tell you upfront what to expect of them.
I will refrain of rating the app since It's Linotype politics that disappointed me, not the merit of FEX itself.
µTorrent is legendary for it's speed but on my tests not only it wasn't faster that Transmission, but on some occasions it was actually slower.
Of course it's pretty much impossible to do 2 similar tests with something like torrents, so I'm considering both equivalent speed-wise.
I believe this will be a strong torrent app in a few incarnations, but right now Transmission is better.
I know this is a really small detail, considering all the enormous work putted in this excellent software, but could it be possible to add some icons for MS docs?
Hi there.
I'm always looking for "the next big thing" on this area.
As so, I would like to ask those who already used this if they could, please, tell how this is better than, for instance, Fairmount thats is free.
Just a clarification: "visually lossless" is not the same as being lossless, although the high-quality 220 Mbit/s for HD resolution at 60i gets close to it.
I could talk about some of the missing features of Invoy, but for a 1.0 release I prefer to talk about the ones already there:
A really good interface and a pretty decent set of initial features.
Based on what I saw, I believe that Invoy has a solid base to properly grow on the near future.
Harmonic stopped working for me.
I'm not sure if it was after updating Leopard to 10.5.3 of Harmonic to 2.3, but somewhere in the hay something strange happened.
Now, after changing a song on iTunes i can see the lyric being displayed on Harmonic for a split of a second but it changes to "Can't Find Lyrics".
Checking Terminal I can confirm that harmonic did find the lyric, so I don't know why it's not showing it.
Thank you so much for making this great app.
It's the (almost) perfect replacement for my old favorite, iMote that no longer works properly under Leopard.
The only think I would like to see added?
An option to rename the name that shows on the menu, when iTunes isn't playing.
"iTunesMenu" is just too big for my screen.
As an example, my "Status Menu Order:" is simply "♫".
Now, If I could do that for those occasions when iTunes isn't being used, that would be perfect.
Hi.
I'm trying to use SImplyBurns under 10.5.2 to burn a multi-session DVD in HFS+ format.
According to the docs, HFS+ is right now the only way to do multi-session under SimplyBurns. (it creates a new volume for each new session)
Somehow, even with the "leave the disc appendable" option selected, SImplyBurns refuses to allow me to add a new session to it.
I just downloaded WebServerX as a replacement for the "complete" series of installers, since I'm upgrading my test server.
I'm running Mac OS X 10.3.9 right now.
The problem is that when i tried to start Apache on the pref pane i didn't and i got this error on the console:
Syntax error on line 275 of /usr/local/apache2/conf/httpd.conf:
Cannot load /usr/local/apache2/modules/libphp5.so into server: dyld: /usr/local/apache2/bin/httpd can't open library: /usr/X11R6/lib/libXpm.4.dylib (No such file or directory, errno = 2)n
Any thoughts about what could have went wrong?
Thank you in advance.
Pedro

Better than a 3D Sudoku.
My deepest appreciation to the author for making this little gem.

Saft
Thank you for your replay but I was already using version 10.4.2.
I'm really going crazy with this!
That much that I'm considering a re-install of the system, since the problem remains even after the removal of saft.
I think I have to give you some apologies since the removal of saft is a good indicator that it cannot be saft's fault, but probably a coincidence
