This can be done with Dragthing for many years. Put a folder a Dragthing Doc, then right-click and select More > Item options > Hot Keys -- then assign a key. Dragthing is $29, but does a whole lot more as well.
HistoryHound doesn't work with NetShade Proxy (paid version). All pages fail to be index due to a "connection error." This is almost certainly a compliance problem with HistoryHound, and not a problem with the NetShade Proxy. All standards-complaint, internet-accessing applications I use work fine with NetShade.
After turning the proxy off, HistoryHound does work. It is a very nice app. I hope they fix this soon (and not in a paid upgrade)!
Now that I have experience with the error log. It would be nice to have check boxes (or other options) on the error-log page to re-attempt to index unreachable pages. As it works now, it seems you have to re-index the whole shebang to pick-up connection-errors.
The developer is VERY responsive to this issue. I'm sure this will be fixed soon. HistoryHound is an incredible time saver for people who do research. There are a few apps that pay for themselves in time saved -- this one is a no brainer!
