i concur with trance, this is the best of its kind (cataloguing browser). no, i'm not a fan of microsoft and was saddened to see them take iview's reins, but unfortunately this is the only mac-ware i know of that permits me to view my NEF RAW file previews with the in-camera settings intact (lightroom and aperture can't execute this). thanks to this, i've been able to streamline my workflow mucho efficiently to just expMedia and capture NX2. the only other app that is capable of previewing your RAW's is photo mechanic, which is unquestionably quick and useful as a browser but NOT as a DAM (digital asset management) app.

indeed, aperture and lightroom are miles beyond expMedia in the GUI and plugin depts and i do use aperture (and photoshop) sparingly for these features. however this is strictly a 'post' post-production step when my edits (TIFF files) from expMedia and capture nx need further work.

hope this clears the anti-expMedia air somewhat.
