MusicCollector does what I want, including allowing many-many relationships between artists and albums (which is required for a significant number of my jazz and classical albums). It is also very customizable. It will work much better for my 3500+ LPs.
Hmmm, really? I thought I was in a Windows app when MyVinyl refused to store a record because every single value is required, without regard for whether the value is needed or even known. Yup, that's the Mac way, isn't it? Impose unnecessary restrictions on the user. ;-)
MusicCollector is pretty awesome compared to any other music cataloger I've tried. It actually works very similarly to a 4D application I wrote back in the 90s. And it doesn't care which values I do or don't add. In fact, I can repurpose a field if I want, even renaming it. Pretty user-friendly, IMHO. :-)
I really liked this in beta when I used it, but $50 is too expensive for this tool. If it comes down to half the price I'll get it. Otherwise, sticking with shell svn and SvnX.
I really like Saft, but why is it so hard all the time to get a copy I registered for? Nine times out of ten I cannot connect to the download site, so actually getting my copy is more luck than anything. I appreciate that you need to protect your property, but to be fair I find it very frustrating that I pay for it, but am unable to download it without a lot of effort trying retrying your website. That makes the product more expensive in terms of my time. I've now given up trying to download the latest release.
Why don't you just freely distribute it as a limited demo and use a registration id enabling scheme, like most everyone else does for software. Then other sites could distribute it.
I've been using a TomTom Go Plus for 2.5 years and every time I go on a road trip I pull my hair out with frustration. The software is crappy, the user interface is flakey, and the maps are terrible. I've upgraded maps twice, and the TomTom still does crazy things like take me miles in the wrong direction only to tell me to do a U turn and go all the way back to continue in the reverse direction from where I started. Seriously, this has happened numerous times.
I'm fed up and planning to get a Garmin Nuvi for my next trip.
Oh, and TomTom customer service is for all intents and purposes non-existent. They're only responsive when it it comes time to take your money for new maps. This is one of the worst companies and products I've dealt with. Stay clear.
This doesn't support camera RAW files (i.e. Nikon NEF), which is all I shoot. That really limits its usefulness. I can select RAW files in the Finder and select Slideshow from the context menu -- that works with RAW files.
I tried 0.4.3 with NEF files. Looks like all it does is display the tiny imbedded jpeg preview. The Finder Slideshow feature renders a high res full screen image.
I am using Saft 10.0.5 (1038) with Safari 3.0.4 (5523.15) on Leopard 10.5.2
Every time I restart Safari, plugins are disabled and I have to go into the Safari Security prefs pane to recheck "Enable plug-ins". If I remove Saft I do not have that problem anymore.

Really??? So if I don't know all the values, I have to enter bogus data. That means all my data has questionable integrity. Idiotic.
