Apple Mac OS X

Dunestrider reviewed on 24 Nov 2007
First, thank you, MacUpdate, for having this forum. Any posts critical of Leopard on the official Apple website (Support > Discussions) will soon be deleted, along with an email from Apple (that cannot be replied to) advising you that your post has been deleted.

I've been using Macs since OS 6. I've used Mac OS X from Cheetah (10.0), Puma (10.1), Jaguar (10.2), Panther (10.3), Tiger (10.4) and finally, Leopard (10.5).

Prior to Leopard, all of the upgrades of Mac OS X did not break apps, drivers, fonts, Preferences, security settings, etc.. When I say "break", I do not mean something that can be fixed (by tweaking some settings)... I mean something that cannot be fixed without heroic effort.

I thought that maybe the first update (10.5.1) would fix many of the issues. After all, Apple seems to use its users as a beta testing facility. But, no, the 10.5.1 didn't fix much.

The finest flowering of the Mac OS was in Tiger. Leopard "jumps the shark".

I realize that there are some Mac fanatics who will defend Apple, even if Apple offered them a plate of fried dog s***. These persons do not do Apple any favors; they are Apple's worst enemies.

I used to purchase the Family Packs of Mac OS X (for up to five computers). For some reason, when Leopard came out, I did not. I am glad, because now I am out just $129 (instead of $199).

I have always despised Microsoft. I swore that when the AmigaOS went belly-up, I would switch to Mac. I did so. Now, I swear that when the MacOS goes belly-up, I will switch to Linux. MacOS is on its way downhill.

Lotto Sorcerer

Dear Anonymous,
Lotto Sorcerer checks for non-random and weighted influences in drawings. Apparently you did not make much effort to read the docs.
