I understand that this is beta, so I can't be too harsh. I mean, I can't even write apps yet, so you are doing something right.
I would say, though, that there are too many individual windows in this app.
The options you do have, grouping for instance, have too many options and quickly become confusing. Perhaps a list of the top five used groupings would be nice. Then you could have a "custom" grouping option or something to that effect.
As far as graphics are concerned, it felt a bit "classic". That might be what some people want, but I want to flaunt the fact that I have a rocking computer, no matter what I am doing. Sure in family history I will want it toned down, but I don't think classic is the way to go.
One really, really, really good thing you have, though, is file load time. I have a gedcom file with over 2000 individuals in it. It took other programs on this site over a minute, A MINUTE, to load. Your app took about a blink of my eyes. That's nice.
If you can streamline the interface, and add a solid eding function, while keeping the load time the way it is, I would buy this app.
