Sheeesh, who wrote the "What's new" comments from Adobe? It makes it look like they BROKE things for the new version. Awful grammar. Seems to work ok in Snow Lion.
Please put this application in some other download source rather than the App Store.
Your changelog states v1.0.6 is the latest release, but the App Store has 1.0.5.
Also, the feedback button on your developer site runs and runs but you can't submit this complaint.
If this is ever going to be posted on Google Code as an alternate, how long will it be?
- Addresses a cropping issue with some postscript printing in landscape page orientation.
- Resolves an issue with some Macs (that have in ATI graphics card) in which the mouse pointer movement could become erratic if an external DVI display is connected.
Available for: Mac OS X v10.6 through v10.6.5, Mac OS X Server v10.6 through v10.6.5
Impact: A man-in-the-middle attacker may be able to cause an unexpected application termination or arbitrary code execution
Description: A format string issue exists in PackageKit's handling of distribution scripts. A man-in-the-middle attacker may be able to cause an unexpected application termination or arbitrary code execution when Software Update checks for new updates. This issue is addressed through improved validation of distribution scripts. This issue does not affect systems prior to Mac OS X v10.6. Credit to Aaron Sigel of vtty.com for reporting this issue.
Alright! This edition works in Snow Leopard 10.6.2.
Installer still needs work - a ReadMe txt file is needed badly.
After scouring the various web sites, I found the Movie instructions (which a ReadMe should state the URL for) and pulled down the latest zip's of the texts I wanted - I manually installed them - makes life easier but good work on the module-installer function.
One complaint - it's irksome that after selecting a text, I have to type a chapter to get it to open in the workspace - the start of the text should just appear - then if I want to skip ahead and so forth, I can type in what I want or choose it from the right-side panel. IMHO.
Looks like the application is on the right path. Needs better instructions in a ReadMe text instead of having to go to a wiki, a home page, et al - or at least the ReadMe should give the direct URL's to these pages.
AGAIN, no read me file in the installer.
(Mannfred, even drag-n-drop installs are known as the installer, as far as the DMG is concerned - that's standard Mac lingo.)
It would take VERY little effort to write a small text file on how to intall the modules. Copy/paste the relavent parts of the web page or forums into a text file and bundle it.
I'm going to play with this latest update and hopefully it will work. I loved the old 'sword and really want this application up and going like the old days.
STILL does not work!
I don't understand why the developer continues to issue
public updates for Snow Leopard that just do NOT work.
Sure, bugs are expected in alpha/beta/Release Candidates
but they should basically WORK.
For one thing, the installer come with no Read Me or anything,
just the application.
Secondly, the CrossWire page does not correspond with the
actual program - example, it calls for creating a "Sword" folder
under App Support - but the program creates a MacSword folder.
This is pure laziness not to get your FAQ/help/support pages
in line with the application.
Secondly, what is stated as far as modules are concerned under
preferences doesn't even exist in the application!
There is still no accurate, simple instructions for getting
the application pointed towards the modules or where to put
the modules.
Developer, spend some time getting your ducks in a row, PLEASE.
This used to be a wonderful application.
I'm getting very worried about its future.
I have a CDimage.ape, CDImage.ape.cue and a CDImage.cue file ...
can this program burn a CD from these (Windows produced) files?
I've tried using the Image portion of the SW but the resulting burned disc is 3,460 GB !!! No drive let alone optical media for that.
The .ape is 326MB.
Thanks
As a follow-up check, I re-installed 0.44x and it ran fine - so, either we've got an Intel-only build tagged as universal, or the system requirements are wrong, or 0.45-1 as posted has a bug (at least for Panther.)
Admin - this release requires Tiger - 10.4. It won't launch under Panther.
The beta is inside the 10.4 folder on OmniWeb's FTP site - someone's made a goof in the release notes.

panel stays open from the last session - so I have a
TOC readily available - happy with that.

The app is very easy to use - no complaints there.
But a ReadMe with a list of the relavent URL's would be a great edition to have so I don't have to go hunt them down.
I'd even bundle the instruction-movie you made into the installer - the additional size is neglible and it is very helpful.
LAME
Install the LAME for Audion for Mac - issues solved without
all this stupid terminal hassle.
