Suitcase Fusion 3

Dlwhite reviewed on 05 Feb 2012
As of Feb 5, the MacUpdate page heading lists 14.1.1 as the current version, and links to a download of 14.0.6.

But the actual current version is 14.2.0

What gives?

Does this work under OS 10.7?

Uh oh. The website is down. E-mails to the dev are getting bounced back as undeliverable.

I think this one's gone.

Anyone know whether it still works under OS 10.7

Without a doubt, it's the best converter available today!

This is very promising, but for the $$, I'd like to cross-breed it with Photon, and make it about 75% faster.

Seems ripe for a completely re-written iPad app.

That's the future, baby.

Dear Dev, PLEASE start work today on a version for the iPad.

My kitchen counter is drooling for your software plus Apple's hardware.

If anything could make YummySoup MORE perfect, that would be it!

SecretBox
Dlwhite commented on 27 Jan 2010
I still use SecretBook daily, although it's VERY long in the tooth for obvious reasons.

And I have to say... $70 for SecretBox (or any app of this genre) is an astronomical amount. I mean, stratospherically high.

I wish the devs every good luck and hope they continue to actively develop the software, but we're still in a worldwide recession. $70? That's crazy talk.

Logitech Control Center
Dlwhite had trouble on 06 Jan 2010
I just purchased a Logitech Revolution Wireless Mouse (the one from a couple years ago that has better reviews than the newer models). But at Amazon, the consensus is that the drivers stink and to just run USB Overdrive, instead. (a shame, as I already own SteerMouse).

Reviews here are so overwhelmingly negative that I'm actually AFRAID to install the Logitech Control Center on my system! Isn't that CRAZY? These guys are the big leagues. I'd have thought they could at least sub-contract the work out to generate some solid code to run their (admittedly awesome) hardware.

iVideo Converter
dlwhite had trouble on 04 Sep 2009
In VisualHub, there was a DVD setting that created a .ISO file which could easily be burned to DVD (by Roxio's Toast, for instance.) That setting in VisualHub also allowed me to choose NTSC or PAL formatting for the DVD I was authoring.

Is there a comparable setting in iVideo Converter that allows me to drop in a video file and convert it to a .ISO file for easy burning to DVD?

If not, why not? And what other video converter (besides VisualHub) offers .ISO creation?

Thank you for your help! MacUpdate RULES.

Follow up: The developer was super fast responding to my e-mail, answering my questions and even putting one of my suggestions on tap for a future update. iVC doesn't have the specific (VisualHub replicating) functionality I was looking for, but I bought a license and I'm very impressed with both the software and the developer so far. Highly Recommended!!!
