Excellent step forward. I did experience a minor hiccup in video on my 09' Mini for some reason, with 480P video. It could 'jump' every 20-30 seconds. CPU utilization was about 60% with a high profile MKV. It plays flawlessly on my iMac.
If this is the first player that ends up utilizing both OpenCL and GCD, then this will be the player to beat.
I didn't see any options for selecting a scaler, which is important for those of us who use their Mac as a Media PC on a big screen, but hopefully that will be coming soon.
Excellent piece of software. I don't require all sorts of bells and whistles that provide me with little/no value. I just need a list of titles, genre, rating, and 'loaned to' information. This app fits the bill perfectly, and it let me import my old CSV file with no muss or fuss! It does have internet lookup if you need that sort of thing, and it seems to work flawlessly as well.
The interface is clean and easy to use, which I wasn't finding browsing most of the other free offerings. I'm grateful I stumbled on this one!
Two Thumbs Up ;)
