XMenu

delete PLEASE reviewed on 19 Jun 2011
I am trying to delete xmenu from my iMac. When dragging the application folder to the trash, I receive the message "xmenu can't be moved to the trash because it's open". Can't see where it's open anywhere, I've never used it and no longer want it on my system. Can anyone help?

Figured it out, took a couple of restarts. Thanks anyway. Not thrilled with any 3rd party utility that does not install or delete easily. This 5yo iMac is unstable at times, and I'm deleting all 3rd part stuff in an effort to clean things up.

Thanks for the help, most of you. It's very rare I come to forums such as this for help, but I was frustrated by this utility and wanted to see what others were experiencing. Looks like a couple of you could not resist posting, even after seeing my next post, same day, saying I fixed the issue and thank you. To those who would chastise someone for "not reading the help menu", your attitude is not in keeping with what a help site such as this should be. To the other who mentioned that their 6-year-old iMac is running as fast as the day they got it and see-if-a-Windows-PC-would-do-the-same, I would say that I can buy 3 very good Windows PC's over those 6 years for what I paid for my iMac. I expect more from the Mac because I paid more and my experience has not been good, my Mac "experiment" is fast coming to an end. I came to this site with a simple request for help, not to be scolded or lectured. I can find as good as or better help from other sources without all the attitude. Peace.
