Ecoute is a great app that I generally use instead of iTunes. It would be greater still if it incorporated AirPlay.

When will we see AirPlay in a future update?

I purchased as part of either a MUpromo or MacZot while using 10.6.2, am now on 10.6.3. I like the design and the interactiveness--however it constantly crashes and is really not useable. I'm disappointed but looking forward to an update to correct the crashing.

If I could give Lightzone negative stars, I would. I first got LZ in a software bundle two or so years ago when I was running 10.4 with a G4 PB. I tried again when I upgraded to 10.5. It crashed upon every attempted launch, asking me if I wanted to reset the settings. I did. Still crashed. I now have an Intel MBP, and it does the same thing with v3.8.5. It's a piece of crap. They should pay me $200 for the time I've spent on this piece of junk. If it was freeware, I wouldn't waste my time or hard drive space to download it.

v3.9: Still a piece of crap. Never launches. It crashes with this message,"Unexpected failure Error starting Java virtual machine." There's no crash report log so it can't be reported to Apple or the developer(s)--whoever they are. Again, if I could make this zero stars, I'd make it zero stars.

Also works on PPC running 10.5. Very easy. No fuss. Most incredible, the developer is very responsive and open to ideas.

This might work well with a screen capture to QuickTime app such as iShowU. That way you wouldn't have to make PDFs or worry about losing previous thoughts.

I just downloaded and installed v 0.4.1. Wow! James Chan is to be congratulated. This is great. It works perfectly. On a side note, I wrote a review the other day and gave 0.3.5 six stars out of five and v 0.4 just one star. Mr. Chan and I have corresponded, and I have told him my difficulties and he has been very generous with his time to try and resolve this. I hope that has been helpful to him because this works great. This gets 10 stars out of five.

Gmail Notifr

This app was working fabulously until the menubar icon was changed. I have four gmail accounts, and I could use this to monitor all of them. Once the menubar icon changed, all the app does now is generate a spinning beach ball. I emailed the developer several days ago but haven't heard anything back. I would give v 0.35 six stars out of five and one star for v 0.4--it gets one star for not crashing my system and I can shut it down with Activity Monitor.

If someone still has a copy of v 0.35 please send a copy to dfwrites@gmail.com. Thank you.

My comment is that the newer versions do not work whereas the older version does work. The one star rating goes toward an app that used to be excellent to one that does nothing but tie up the resources of my system until I open another app to close it out. I would much prefer using the older version to the new--because it worked. I would also gladly pay for an older version--but the developer's web page does not offer older versions. This is obviously frustrating. I used to have an excellent app, but now it's irretrievably gone. I contacted the developer about a week ago and still haven't heard a reply--which is why I posted here. I like the app that works and would like another copy. I would rate v 0.35 six stars out of five and v .4 one star out of five. Part of that one-star rating goes toward not having a way to re-install earlier versions and a lack of responsiveness. Again, I would gladly pay for a working version. It means that much to me.
