My Living Desktop

d_tisdal reviewed on 16 Dec 2011
Just upgraded to version 5 and I must say that My Living Desktop keeps getting better all the time. I love the new features especially the integration with Mac Lion and the ability to view all my scene paks in a Launchpad-like view. I've been a longtime user of the app and I would definitely highly recommend it. I didn't mind making another investment in the app so soon because I want the developers to continue improving it in the future. Keep it up!

MacUpdate Desktop

I purchased MacUpdate quite awhile ago and have been very happy with it. It came bundled with a MacUpdate membership which is a very good value. The plus is that MacUpdate does a very good job at keeping all your apps up to date with the exception of a few that I have but I suspect the MacUpdate will include those in the near future. MacUpdate also lets you know when there is an update in Apple App Store which is another plus. The only annoyance is that you have to be careful when updating some apps because they turn out to be paid updates and you may end up with a demo for a older product you purchased. But MacUpdate lets you know what updates are required to be paid for. Great app and a must have if you have as many apps as I do!

JustLooking

d_tisdal reviewed on 05 Dec 2011
JustLooking does just what it's says...enables you to keep JustLooking! Very easy to install and use with a minimal interface. You can rotate, resize, zoom in and out and view photos as thumbnails. I use it daily and haven't had any issues except for slow responses when moving from one picture to another when viewing large photo galleries. I would definitely recommend JustLooking to anyone who loves to view pictures.

This is the only app like this for the Mac and it's absolutely a conversation starter when people see it! I've had great compliments about it and I have received excellent support for the few problems that I've had. Keep up the great work!

iTemplates Office

I'm pretty much still evaluating if this app will be of much use. I went to the Developer's site and Wow!...what a poorly done website and most of it from what I could gather is in Spanish or something. In other words...nothing of value there not to mention no support that I could see. The app itself was something totally different from what I thought it would be. I was looking for stunning templates that I couldn't find anywhere else! I think I could do with Pages before I consider this app a contender.

Growly Notes

d_tisdal reviewed on 22 May 2011
I was hesitant about this software at first because it was FREE! What could a "free" app do for me? As soon as I started using it I said "wait a minute...this app is fantastic!" I've found that in the short time I've been using it, the more I realized this is destined to become a "must have" and it is very easy to use with powerful features. The only thing I can compare this to is Microsoft's OneNote for the Mac. Really! Try it...it's free...and I suspect that it won't be for long!

Geekbench

I thought this would be a good idea. However, once you use it once...what good would the app be to use later? Plus, the numbers generated are too abstract to have any usefulness. Too complicated for someone like my wife or kids to use.

Dropbox

d_tisdal reviewed on 09 Apr 2011
One of the best apps I have on my MacBook! At first I didn't realize the usefulness of the cloud until I used Dropbox. When it came to finding a job it became incredibly valuable to have access to my resume and a appropriate cover letter no matter where I was. I use it practically everyday!
