This is a great little app that works just as specified. You must be smart enough not to set the setting too high so as to damage your computer. One nice thing you can do is set the temps low so the fan goes on fast for a while and cools the computer down - then you can set them back to factory defaults and the fans won't come on again for a while.
One thing I would like to know is what are safe maximum temperatures so that my computer does not get damaged? I'd prefer my computer to be hot then noisy, but I wouldn't want to cause any damage of course. I read somewhere that a software update sometime a while back lowered the default temps because people were complaining about their macs getting too hot, so I assume the current defaults are for comfort and not equipment saftey
