Not only a great program, a responsive developer. I emailed a question and got a rapid answer that was just what I was looking for. I immediately sent a donation.
September 14, 2010: 2.1 - Added options to change the color of the clouds, and ground mist. Added volume control for sound effects. Updated the trees. New morphing tombstone prop. New zombie arm prop. New wiggling tombstone prop. Cosmetic changes to options panel. Minor bug fixes.
I have used VueScan for years and it keeps getting better all the time. I use the multi-pdf feature a lot and now there is a button for the last page instead of going to the menu. It's a little thing but it is so handy.
I have used this along with RipIt and found both do a good job of ripping DVD's. I have used DVDRemaster to post-process things but have found that files created by MDRP always seem to be corrupted. RipIt's latest version doesn't seem to corrupt the files.
I have found that DVD2oneX2 handles MDRP's files with no problem and have been able to back up my DVD's that I don't let my kids handle without my being there.
SO, use RIpIt and DVDRemaster, or either ripper and DVD2oneX2.
I went to set this up for this year and found out that I could no longer install the screen saver. I am using Snow Leopard. How ironic. A screen saver with snow that can't run on SNOW Leopard.
I am so addicted to this game that the Total Time I have played it for is 10 days, 14 hours. Maybe because I have played it so much that the deck is really out of whack. There are games where I get a string of gasoline cards or I won't see a go card until over half the deck has been played. And then I may get dealt a bunch in a row.
I sure wish there was a different method for shuffling the cards to make it more random.
I'm not so sure that this is a Snow Leopard issue. I've been seeing this behavior for quite a while now. (Over 1000 games played) Like you, I have seen the go cards stick near the end of the end for both players and I have wound up with mostly go cards in the beginning. I had a string of hands where I had the Gas safety card at the start of the game and with that, an unusually large percentage of the regular gasoline cards.
I can only hope that this will either work itself out or the developer will come up with a fix. I'd also love to see this game as an iPhone app. I would pay for that.
How about Snow Leopard compatibility? I'll purchase as soon as that happens because I already upgraded to SL. I guess I'll try a rip on the demo and check it out.
