I have been using Pixelmator for quite a while now and find it getting better and better. I gave up on Photoshop and Adobe and their overpriced bloated products.
These guys are out ot lunch. Over $100 to UPGRADE you got to be kidding. The upgrade is more about BUG FIXES that shouldn't be there in the first place!
There are lots of free or nearly free apps that do just as good a job.
STICK IT!
I bought a Slingbox Solo a few days ago and I must say I wish I had one a long time ago. Future shop has them for $169 as of Dec 16.
It is hooked to the cheapest Bell Sat receiver via S-Video cable. It is hooked to a Belkin 7320 11-g router which is not hooked to the internet. I have another Belkin hooked to the internet.
I am accessing the Slingbox with a MacBook Pro. This software worked like a charm with no trouble at all. It controls the receiver with a screen mock up of the remote control. Clicking on the buttons on screen does exactly what it would if the actual remote were being used.
I use this to watch the BBC news anywhere in my house over the wireless network at the same time I am programming in Windoze XP using Parelles.
Installed 3.0 in my 24in iMac which went without a hitch.
Tried a R/C flight sim and it runs very well without a noticeable difference in speed and graphics performance than on a quick Intel machine.
I used Calamus back in the late 80's and early 90's on an Atari TT. IMHO the absolute greatest DTP on the market bar none at the time. The PC world was still using Dos stuff (yuck).
Hope they get this up to speed to match the performance of that great Atari program that I very much miss.
This program is a ten! I have a 24 inch iMac with the built in camera. I really like the ability to use a USB web cam as it gives me the ability to sit and relax instead of sitting fixed in front of the iMac. Gladly bought the program minutes after using it.
Xslimmer is a must have! It not only cuts the size of most programs in half but I swear progs the like FireFox load much faster and also seem to run faster. Don't have any figures just a feeling.

Macs and Slingbox what a combo!!!
Pixelmator
I just ran Pixelmator for the first time in a few weeks and obtained an update.
I just spent 1/2 hr erasing red eye and when I switched back to fit to screen the program crashed and changes were lost.
This has happened now three times. I give up.
Going to wait to Photoshop Elements 4.0
Wish I had never heard of this thing!
