I purchased Parallels when it was only 2.1. While I thought the product was good for the money, this one is far beyond that. Parallels allows for frequent upgrades with your purchase. There have been no major crashes or debilitating bugs since an an earlier version of 2.2. the features like coherence, usb use and drag-and-drop are not only cool, but useful and highly productive. Windows users freak out when they see it run in such a slick way on my mac. Overall, this product is very low priced for such a high quality product. I have recommended it to any intel mac user that will listen.
Parallels Desktop on a MacBook Pro 1.8 GHz with 512 MB Ram, 80 MB Hard Drive works well. Windows XP installed in 27 minutes while our techie said to expect and hour or more. I can web browse, download, install and run various applications with ease, despite my impoverished memory situation. I have tried Q/qemu and Crossover with little success for installing the application I need to use (Filemaker Pro 8.5 Advanced).
[Version 2.2.1898]
