Dreadful UI redesign. Skype has become a visually sprawling dashboard filled with My First Tonka Truck-sized buttons and vast fields of wasted space. It's a chat app, not Microsoft Office.
Please bring the 2.8 interface back (that was the previous version, despite the new 5.0 number). If you need large windows and buttons, add them to individual IM windows. Don't bloat the main window out of proportion to fit them all.
At first PackRat seemed to be a strange app, because it's an *app* made for working with Backpack, a web service. But once I tinkered with it, got used to how much faster it is than waiting for the web and how it brings a few features to the table that even Backpack itself doesn't have, and I saw the light. Toss in the ability to keep all my vital Backpack stuff offline and accessible at all times, and I was in love.
No matter how you use Backpack, even if you have just a couple pages of information, PackRat is a killer tool for working even faster with your account. If you're like me and you have nearly 18 pages, PackRat could very well become a mandatory tool for working with all that stuff. I highly recommend it.
