BetterSnapTool

Bylr reviewed on 23 Aug 2011
Simple operation, great customization options. Works like a charm and worth every penny (and cheaper than the cup of coffee I bought while checking it out).

Dear everyone: you're supposed to be rating the app. If you don't like the App Store's lack of a demo feature, complain to Apple.

Keyboard Maestro

Bylr reviewed on 11 Aug 2011
Incredibly versatile yet very easy to use. It's hard to know how I got by without it for so many years... has become a "right hand app" on my Mac.

Server Monitor
Bylr commented on 06 Jul 2011
FWIW, this tool is a front end for the monitor.rootinternet.co.uk service. It looks like they have a free account available. Haven't tried it.
[Version 1.0.0.3]

Warp makes Spaces useful again. Simple feature set, tremendously useful.

XMind

bylr reviewed on 19 Dec 2007
I've kicked the tires on XMind for a few weeks now. Some thoughts:

Pros:
- Extremely robust mapping options
- Responsive customer support
- Strikingly adept Java implementation on the Mac

Cons:
- Printing is extremely frustrating
- Java-based means no Mac OS Services; no AppleScript support
- No industry-standard export options
- Quirky

More thorough review (with screenshots) here (I hope this is acceptable to post):
