I had the same problems with serial not working, I've emailed support 3 times in 2 months and had no reply. I did launch the program the other day and it notified me of an update that resolves this problem. I downloaded the latest version and it works fine now. I've now got version 3.3, I had 3.0.9 I think the developer is aware of the problem but should make a greater effort to inform his customers.
