This has been a long time in the making, but has been oh so worth it! Bowtie simply has a unique philosophy of end user customizability that makes it gorgeous to use. In fact, Ecoute took this philosophy and even posted up instructions on how to convert Bowtie themes into Ecoute themes. Bowtie is the original! It may not have the largest feature set or any fancy display with which to interact with your library, but it fits a nice niche that I'm sure many will appreciate. If you need the library interactivity, check out Cover Stream or CoverSutra. If you want a standalone player that can access the iTunes library, check out Ecoute or Everplay.

I have to agree with the comment below. The new look is far too spaced out. It goes down over half of my screen (Macbook) when using 6 search results and 3 suggestions. Plus the new gradients over the results and suggestions sections aren't as visually pleasing as before. Also, the blue mouseover is now just a bar across the entire result of suggestion that you're highlighted over; the older version (3.1(v55)) had better looking bubbles around the result or suggestion you were highlighted over. Plus the new Yahoo BOSS search engine does not seem to result in any performance gain in your searches and it automatically sends usage statistics to Yahoo, and you cannot uncheck the option in preferences.

Overall, I do not like the direction the developer is taking Inquisitor to, but that decision may not be up to him since he sold the application to Yahoo. I have since downgraded back to 3.1(v55) and am very pleased with it as-is.

InsomniaX 1.3.3 is a great application for my Macbook.

It does what it says its supposed to do and is very easy to use. However, there is system instability with the hibernate function which the developer is currently trying to sort out. When there are issues with such a function, it should be left out or placed in a beta build, not a final version. Also, the icons are a bit too cartoonish for me and display in color on the menu bar. Within the package, there is an alternative icon set, which is not accessible by any feature; therefore, I renamed it and overwrote the cartoon set and made a few variations and created a new grayscale set.
