I just got an offer from FireCore to extend my subscription for $29, I payed them for this last year as well. And now I see they sell it for $19 here. It seems they are not big fans of their own customers.
The software itself is quite good, it makes the apple TV very much better. You can watch moveis from the filesystem on your macs and pc's, and it has a lot of other functions as well. But it does tend to crash a bit too often, and the jailbreak procedure is not something I would recommend to anyone without a special interest for this sort of thing. But if you are willing to jailbreak your apple TV, it is very nice indeed
I've used BBedit since 1994, I think it was at version 1.5 back then. It has always been my preferred text-editor for html, perl, javascript and php, but in the later years I have moved towards the more complete IDE's like aptana,Zend studio, eclipse et al. I have used Bbedit out of habit more than because it is the best. It used to be the best, but now I am not sure anymore.
If BBedit was reasonably priced I would upgrade, but now I get the same "upgrade price" as any new customer gets. $40 for an upgrade is far too much, as a long time user I expect to be treated with a bit of respect. I'll stick with the free version, as that contains 95% of the functionality I need.
If they change the upgrade price so tha tit is actually lower than the full price I might reconsider, but not until then.
I fail to see the logic in reducing the retail price with 70% and increasing the upgrade price with 25%. This makes the upgrade price worth nothing and that really annoys me. So a big welcome to all new customers, and the old customers, well, never mind them..
This is the most usefull app I have. I used to use the same password everywhere, or just forgot them. Now I'm 100% safe. I do not have the same password anywhere, and they are all impossible to guess.
It really simplifies life for those of us with a lot of logins and passwords. Excellent!
I got this for $20 a time back, and it is worth $20. Nice app, a bit slow, but smooth-looking. And if you know photoshop shortcuts, they work here too.
But for the price they are asking now I would go for Photoshop elements, which is much more powerful. If you do complex things on lare images it goes mindbogging slow...
Excellent idea. Good functionality, but a complete memory-hog. Uses more than 500MB ram on my machine when idle. I still use it ocationally, but only when I know I'll really need it.

BBedit - pricing that sucks.
