Anyone have a mirror of this? Their site has dial-up like speeds :-(

eMaps

Great App! Any chance of integrating even further with Google, by allowing you to login to view all your "Saved Places", etc.. Also would love to be able to add a text object (I'm sure that's probably coming)

Podcast Maker

@Monty Lee -- Perhaps your response is being filtered somehow? Marked as SPAM? I have virtually the opposite of your experience with support. Andy is lightning fast in responding, and does an excellent job of helping users out. I know he is busy with an iPhone app he is developing for The Hit List. Not that being busy with another app is an excuse for not responding, but I think maybe something out of Andy's control is in play here...

Soundboard

bgarlock reviewed on 20 Aug 2009
I love this app. both for Podcasting, and for just running in the background to summons a funny sound effect when situations call for some sound to loosen up the room a little. An excellent interface, by a top notch company. If you are already a customer of Ambrosia, look for a discount for purchasing Soundboard.

Just wish that ExpanDrive and NTFS-3G could agree on a version of MacFUSE, and peacefully coexist.

PowerTerm Interconnect

bgarlock reviewed on 25 Mar 2009
By far the best SCO ANSI emulation I have found on this planet. Just wish they would make a Universal Binary, and add Tabs. Other than that, it is a great terminal emulator. If you are a Unix geek that connects to many, many different types of Unix systems, you need something like this, or you had better be real good at hacking terminfo files. This is the *only* terminal emulator I have found for the Mac that properly emulates SCO Ansi, along with the proper function key mapping.

ZOC Terminal
bgarlock commented on 25 Mar 2009
Wow, what a blast from the past. I remember using ZOC back in my OS/2 days. Great terminal emulator, but not very Mac Like. I still like PowerTerm from http://ericom.com -- by far the best SCO ANSI emulation out there. I just wish it had tabs like ZOC.

Microsoft Office 2008

bgarlock reviewed on 11 Dec 2008
It starts up a lot faster (at least on my machine). It still seems a bit bloated, and I really wish it didn't cost so much. I think it should cost $39 for students/teachers. Most teachers and students I know, don't have $100+ to essentially be able to open word processing documents with one another. Open Office is a good choice, and now much more "Mac Like". However, MS shines with the TOC, Index, and revision control (track changes).

The Body Journal

bgarlock reviewed on 18 Jun 2006
Nicely written OS X app, that also has a Windows version. It has mostly Mac like application features, and also integrates with the website to give you the possibility to enter data into the website, and download it locally to your Mac at another time.

I mostly use this to keep track of my medical conditions, and all of my prescriptions. You can provide a quick print-out of your current meds and conditions. A card is also issued, that someone could theoretically use to look up your medical condition, and I would suspect that something like this will be done in the future to help identify someone with a medical condition, and have all their current records available to the healthcare provider.

I also have scanned in my previous medical records (paper) into a PDF, and "attached" them as documents into this program.

The authors have really thought of almost every possible category. The program is easy to use, and about the only gripe I have with it, is the reporting capabilities.

If you take a lot of prescriptions, or have a medical condition(s), The Body Journal is well worth the money.
