Finally an Intel-compatible version! I've been feeling the iPhoto pain since I switched to an Intel machine - now I can start tagging my photos again! THANKS!!
I was very excited to try out this new version (0.8.6) but I'm having some troubles! As soon as I double-click the icon, it shows up in the dock for a moment, then disappears, and this shows up in my console.log:
dyld: Library not loaded: @executable_path/lib/vlc_libintl.dylib
Referenced from: /Applications/Media/VLC.app/Contents/MacOS/VLC
Reason: image not found
Anyone else having this problem? Anyone have any ideas?
I'm using a rev 1 MacBook Pro 2GHz with 2 GB Ram, a 7200 RPM 100 GB HDD, and the latest version of OS X including the most recent security update.
Thanks swordfish! I can confirm that using the Universal Binary is a good workaround for anyone experiencing this issue - which seems that it may be caused by a OS config issue, although I'm not the only one experiencing it.
As a side note, I used the app Xslimmer to reduce the size of the app from approx 68 MB to around 48, and saved an addition 5MB by deleting languages I don't need. I removed the languages manually, but I'm sure there's a utility that could do it as well (such as Monolingual, I'm just not sure if it as capable of processing a single app).
Non_PC, I think you're mistaken. You probably have the Intel-only version installed, not the Universal. The Intel-only version is the default download for Intel-based Macs.
