I've been using Socks 1.0 for awhile now. I must say, I've been extremely happy with it. It's never crashed when being used... it seems like a very solid build. I really enjoy the Mac OS interface tweaks that can be done to customize the OS but I've also found the maintenance features to be extremely useful. When my Spotlight searches stopped working Socks was able to fix it. It also allowed me to delete a hung application using the Forced Empty Trash option - very useful. I feel better about my system after running Socks when I've had to do a hard restart... I use the "Heavy Cleaning" option and it just seems to make things work better after the system caches are cleaned out and renewed. Being able to create a queue of tasks and then walk away from my computer while they run is very useful. Being able to have tasks automatically run at specified times is also pretty cool... along with being able to have a certain maintenance queue run after every hard restart. Plus, Socks was able to squeeze some extra speed out of my internet connection, how it does this I have no idea... but it optimizes the internet settings in Mac OS to make things run better... Awesome! It's definitely worth the low price... I've been very happy with it!
