The last update is from Nov. 2005. Very frustrating that I paid for an app which has no use for me anymore in times where much better apps than PA rule the market and and ist seems the developer doesn't work on PA anymore...
After months of intensive FE use I returned to FontAgent. FontAgent works much faster, font activation works better and the handling of systemfonts is much more better (FE doesn't save the status of deactivated systemfonts, FA does).
Since FontCard uses "Unmatched Fonts" its very annoying to select a font in Adobe CS2 products. Now I have two different font menues to select a font: unmatched fonts and other fonts. Not useful anymore. Trashed it.
Besides the fact that DT Pro is very useful for my daily work I have to say that the interface is not very useful. I would like to work with tabs and a more felexible window-structure rather than navigating through a hierarchical, antiquated filestructure.
DT Pro Office: I asked the developer, whether it is possible to offer Plug Ins for DT Pro, so that I, the user of DT Pro, can decide which kind of Plug In I would need (and buy) to optimize my workflow instead of updating the whole app. He answered that DT Pro Plug Ins are possible but they have no interest in doing it this way. Not very customer-friendly in my opinion...
Nice idea, but it doesn't work for me. There is no visual element that indicates a break of my search, the result-screen doesn't show anything until I drag the window. The design is very clumsy and dark. -5 stars for the ghastly application icon.
It is not perfect at all. When I copy (and try to paste) elements within Adobes CS2 applications CuteClips crashes. It cannot handle large files without problems and copying/pasting parts or rows of spreadsheets is not possible. The developer knows about the limitations especially concerned to apps like Adobe CS and he is very responsive but that doesn't really help. I have accept the fact that I have paid for a useless tool...
This is not what I expected. After using PF 3 and waiting a long time for the release of vers. 4 I'm a little bit disappointed about the result. PF hangs up every now and then. Manipulation of permissions is insufficient. Generally I have to set the permissions in Finder. Sometimes Trash does not show all files which are in it, and some files cannot be deleted by PF. Again I have to switch to Finder to delete these files. Connecting servers doesn't work under PF, but I have no problems with it using the Finder. As a result of that I switched back to Finder. By the way - Finder is much faster than PF...
Can't import iCal or Mail/accounts, the import of *.mbox should be possible but does not work. All incoming e mails are classified as SPAM, regardless of the content. So you have to sort out the "good" e mails by hand (not easy if you have 5 accounts and hundreds of e mails in Summit's quarantine folder. (By the way: selecting items needs getting used to...) All in all the application is clumsy and very slow and opens in full-screen-view every time I start it. The preferences are very rudimental. It is a mystery to me how they can ask for money for such a half-baked piece of software.
