I used for past few years VirusBarrier, but the annual subscription fees are getting too high, so I have uninstalled it and installed Sophos instead. Works great, except when cloning my system volume to backup drive using SuperDuper. With VirusBarrier running SuperDuper used to clone 90GB in about 1hr25min or so - now with Sophos the same cloning process takes over 5 hours!!! Unacceptable.
Thanks Gregm, but I'm used to real-time protection as it is what VirusBarrier was doing all the time. The only problems with VB were when some updates to the program caused 'access denied' to "suspected" files (otherwise not infected at all) stalling the cloned backup. Usually Intego fixed the problem within days to a week or so. Seems to me that Sophos real-time scanning is either too slow or is doing exactly what VirusBariier was doing when broken - denying access to "suspected" file during backup, regardless the fact that a full scan done before initiating backup found nothing suspicious. Something is wrong with Sophos here.
works as advertised, setting up the destination folder is great (no need to play with symlinks like with many apps that insist on putting their data in user folder) - but the lack of support for multiple accounts is a no go - I'll stay with Mail as a tool for local backup.
The developer's website states that the Lite version limits the number of tasks entries - but it doesn't state what is the limit. Anyone found yet what the limit is and if there are any other differences from the full version?
Sorry for repeating the post, but I can't find the way to edit my reply to Flec65, thus I have to repost in order to correct the period of no updates from 12 to 18 months:
Developer is showing complete disrespect to loyal customers who paid for the application a lot of money (original version and then the upgrades) - no update for past 18 months, while OSX has been updated several times during that period and now upgraded to Lion. The developer's website shows that company is still in business selling 18 months old version and not bothering to honor the obligations to existing customers. Shame!!!
Another major problem with Sparrow - it doesn't follow rules set in Gmail email settings. One of my Gmail accounts is set to receive email forwarded from another email service and to send/reply emails using the other service's email account as Send From. No problem with Mailplane - it follows the settings and sends or replies to email from the other email service's account, just like Gmail itself does. But not Sparrow - it allows you to use only Gmail accounts set in accounts preferences in Sparrow as Send From address. A big booboo....
Just found on the dev's site that the app is now available for $4.99 in AppStore, the version 1.31 under new name "Icon Slate".... shame that there is not even a demo fro previously free app which went from $0 to $4.99 in almost no time...
Just downloaded the 3.3 demo from developer's website. Tried to use custom settings and create 512x512 pixels icon from various, but exact 512x512 pixels, images. Each time the demo was telling me that the image I dragged into the app was smaller than 512x512, reminded me to use the size 512x512 and created a tiny icons with the exact sizes as it was telling me my images were. Again, all my test images were exactly 512x512 pixels. Something doesn't add up in this app....

I have iClock 3.04b3 on my MBP and this one works perfectly with Snow Leopard. Lucky me I didn't update it.
Is there any way for us who don't want to pay for Pro version to get the 3.04b3 version download somewhere?
