TinyBooks Pro

AmplifyFitness reviewed on 13 Dec 2011
I've been using this stable, simple bookkeeping software since 2007. Not flashy, no eye candy --- just reliable updates that continue to make this no-frills application the workhorse of my business accounting system.

$20 is a reasonable upgrade price point, $40 is not.

HDRtist

Just needed something simple to combine iPhone 4 HDR shots. Feature set isn't what you might get with paid programs, but this is stable and works as described. Exactly what I needed.

QuarkXPress

Wow! I had no idea Quark was still around. Thought everybody headed over to Adobe for page layout.

Considering Quark's frustrating customer service, I'm surprised to see they're still in business with so much competition out there.

SiteMap
AmplifyFitness commented on 19 Feb 2009
I've used this plugin with RapidWeaver for over a year now and I have seen a huge difference in my Google and Yahoo tracking numbers. SiteMap has built a simple, accurate, and compliant map that is frequently used by visitors and especially make finding recent blog entries easy to find.

The plugin is updated often, filled with improvements to match RapidWeaver's advancements. Granted a site map generator isn't the "sexiest" of plugins, but is so worth the validity it brings to a website site.

Highly recommended.

Printfolio
AmplifyFitness commented on 09 Dec 2008
I've been using this sweet of apps for more than a year now. I used Business Card Composer to create my cards without any issues for my local print shop. Swift Publisher is my go-to app of choice when creating my ads and promotional materials. The bundle is worth it for just those two apps, but Art Text and Labels & Addresses are terrific as add-ons to help create other printed materials. My web logo, too, was created in Art Text and Swift Publisher.

Bottom line: very versatile, easy to use, and a great price.

RapidWeaver
AmplifyFitness commented on 29 May 2008
A major upgrade to the previous version of 3.7, the new 4.0 version takes advantage of Leopard features like Quick Look. The interface layout is much cleaner and now has TRUE one-touch publishing.

What has made a big difference to me is how the folks at Rapidweaver coordinated with the major theme and plug-in authors to be sure the transition for the users is as smooth as possible.

I'd give you a ten-spot if you'd update the 2008 mileage allowance. Looks like a great little app.

TinyBooks

AmplifyFitness reviewed on 15 Dec 2007
A well done app. Pretty simple and not flashy by any means. Even does invoice printing! I've been using the demo in Leopard and haven't had any problems on my old Quicksilver G4. Would love to see a more intuitive autofill feature for fields that are used repetitively. If there was a way to NEVER use the mouse, it would make for a speedy accounting app. Overall, if you need to get your financial data in order and be able to access it easily, TinyBooks is a solid choice.
