I installed AOL 1.7 on O/S 10.6.8, with no problems. It was my first install on a new Mac. However, the program is a bare-bones platform of what should be a full service platform. There are problems with Mail already read; Attachments (some go easily while others need to be enclosed in a separate folder); Attachments, when added to an email, show up also in the body of an email, which is done automatically by the program, regretfully; and other issues. The graphics on this program are deplorable.

I tried to install AOL 9.0 Optimized on my new Mac, which is an old program I currently run on my old Mac and 2 PC's, which is wonderful. It would be a blessing if AOL would just take this, tweek it for the current operating system, and forget all the time they are wasting and losing with poor customer satisfaction.

I have been an AOL customer for 25 years, but my patience is wearing out. Shame, shame on AOL for introducing such a poor-quality, inferior piece of software.
