I have version 2 and tried version 3 out but I think version 2 is much better mostly because when I'm not using iTunes the album cover on my desktop goes away, in version 3 it is always on my desktop plus now the album cover is way to big and there is no way to shrink the size of it. So I paid for something that does the same thing as version 2 but is uglier than version 2.
Amazing game, although if you have the ability to use Bootcamp and Windows it is a much smarter choice to buy this game for Windows for several good reasons.
1) The expansion pack is only for Windows.
2) You can run the video settings much higher in Windows.
3) You can buy the Gold pack which includes the original EAW and the expansion pack for the same price that they are charging for the mac version of the original game.
...But if you would rather not waste time setting up Bootcamp and Windows, this game is pretty epic!
Normally I would have given this a full 5 stars, but since the dev seems to have stopped supporting Max I am giving it 4 stars. Every time I click on Format in the preferences it crashes.
Just started using it today and I have to say it works better than any other program on Mac that I have tried to use to convert the DTS audio in my HD MKV movies into AC3 in order to shrink the size of the file by a large amount. This program is actually the only one that works properly by preserving the different surround channels. Other programs seem to mess it up and sounds either are always on the left or right. My thanks to the dev. for making this amazingly simple and functional app that does what it says it is supposed to do and nothing more.
I just bought iStat Munus and the current version seems to have a bug where my GPU memory usage never changes. I don't recall this bug with version 3.16
If anyone can tell me why the heck XBMC always has poor playback performance (Random Stuttering) with 720p 4GB+ mkv movies and how I can fix that. I will use this app, because the new Plex has even worse playback performance than XBMC. I'm not even streaming my movies, just playing them from a 2008 MBP connected to my HDTV.
Does anyone have a clue as to why Plex always automatically changes the Audio MIDI from 2ch-24 bit to 2ch-16 bit whenever you open the program? I have not been able to find a fix for this anywhere.
Does anybody else have the problem when converting an mkv to either an mp4 or avi, the converted movie doesn't play correctly and is constantly stuttering. The video playback is very jerky and not at all smooth but the audio is fine. Anybody have similar problems?
