Achoco had trouble on 11 Dec 2009

When I hit “download now” the blue bar runs across, stops and nothing happens after that.
How do I install and use MacUpdate?
NOTE: I was a heavy Windows, Word, Outlook user and am trying to adapt to the Mac.
