Tex-Edit Plus X

This is top-notch shareware but anyone considering it needs to be aware the developer is not currently supporting it. They claim to but Tex-Edit is not a Universal binary yet (and there is no date as to when it will be, just "I'll get to it when possible" about a year ago). Had to move to another text editor after several years, which was disappointing.
