My problem is that the wifi bug has not been fixed. Newer Macs had the sleep bug problem but my I own an iMac 6,1 and my wifi constantly drops (I don't have the sleep wifi drop problem). Reverted to Snow Leopard for a week and it worked fine but I had to go back to Lion since time machine doesn't have my SL backup. I am wondering if this will ever be fixed.
I have tried and done a lot of things. Here are some that I remember.
1) Reset PRAM
2) Deleted Network plist
3) Changed network password
3) Hard Reset router and modem
4) All Software is up-to-date. My router is an older Airport Extreme
5) Keepalive script
6) Bought a usb wifi adapter, which also drops the connection and does not auto reconnect
7) I am using WPA2, Signal Strength is 100%.
8) Used iStumbler to set a unique channel. There are hardly 6 other wifi's in my proximity.
9) Connection speed is really fast and good. When it works, I am quite happy.
I installed this update for the first time. It seems to have really messed things up. Excel and Word take over a minute to launch sometimes. It was working fine right before the update. I also see constant beach balls while editing documents.
I bought it and I like it so far. The older version would freeze and raise my cpu to 99% sometimes but it doesn't happen anymore. It has some niggles but hopefully they get fixed. Mplayerx is free but I am a Movist fan so I bought it.
I have been using Itoner for a few years and I have a big qualm with their customer support and recent response of not fixing itoner for 64 bit iTunes (basically you lose all your ringtones after every sync). Instead they tell you to run iTunes as 32bit and since that method works they aren't focusing on updating itoner presently as according to them they don't see an issue. I would avoid them for the poor attitude of support.
Wrong. Tech support refused to address this was an issue to begin with. Case in point, its 2012 and there hasn't been an updated version to fix this issue. Who are you trying to fool?
I like adblock but removing it seemed to increase my web browsing speed significantly. Also, while trying to uninstall it safari freezes and needs to be force quit. I think most ad blockers cause some performance hit, I am going to try to roll adblocker free for a while and check my web experience, I definitely prefer the faster web page loading times for now.
Love it, thanks for the lion update. The best thing about these guys is they don't keep forcing you to pay update prices, been using my license since 2007 and customer service is stellar.
I think Skype needs to work on their call quality versus just interface updates and features. I have been using Skype for years and distortion and weird sounds start coming through almost always between calls that aren't local.
