This used to be a great app. But it has been banned from like 90% of the trackers. So it does not, and will never worked again. The developers used to be totally on top of things. But he has just become a scam artist.
I've been using this developers software since 2004 and he truly has a gift for design. His software used to be top notch; but now, it's a joke. xTorrent has always been buggy, and in the beginning the features made it worth suffering through some of them. There was even a time where it would freeze after about half and hour in, and you'd have to force quit and restart it. But now, it's causing system wide failures, kernel panics and catalog errors. I've spoken to the developer and he really didn't have an answer. I think he has become irresponsible and careless, despite the features, go somewhere else for your torrenting needs.
With Leopard set to come out in a few months, I'm wondering if it's worth the money. Or if the developer can promise it's customers that it will STILL go above and beyond the build in features coming to iChat...?
Due to legal threats from Apple to the developer, iPodDownload is no longer being distributed. And even if it was, it wouldn't work with the modern iTunes. I was a great program. But it's dead
This apps interface is TOP notch... in theory. To bad they didn't back it up with ANY kind of functionality.
It's color is off, and there's not preference to change it. When you skip forward, the audio gets thrown out of sync with the video. And then it freezes up and wont respond. And I was running it on new stable hardware.
I tested it with AVI's only, it was preformed SO POORLY I didn't bother with any other format. This app needs ALOT of work before it'd be worth money. And even then I would pay maybe $5 tops. Maybe. As is, I wouldn't use it for free. In the end, it's pretty to look at, but no fun to use.
Don't bother. VLC, MPlayer, and good ol' Quicktime (with the DivX plugin) are where it's at.

VLC Media Player
Although, 0.8.6a seems to crash every time I try to play something. VLC has always had bugs, but this is kinda pathetic. Where's 0.8.6b already?
