Garden of Coloured Lights

Simple graphics, varied weaponry, great sound and fun. But HARD. On the easiest difficulty I barely get to the boss on the first level, even.

I'm another user who's changed email address since I registered 6 years ago (how likely are you to have switched email address during six years, I ask you? :). After all of the negative comments here, I still mailed Dave about it. I've had contact with him before when Acq. was just a small, newly hatched app. And he's been nothing but corteous in my experience.

I'm not gonna be too optimistic about receiving a response after reading all these comments, but I'm here's to hoping! :) Acq is still the best Gnutella app, hands down, no contest...

I get the same problem as Kosovar1, I choose a source, and then it says "scanning chapter 1, scanning chapter 2..." and after the last chapter, the progress bar stops but the "scanning chapter" text stays and all options are greyed out, no way to change encoder settings or start encoding...

Looking at the console log, this is what I got:

2007-08-25 12:21:59.615 HandBrake[259] *** Assertion failure in -[NSTextFieldCell _objectValue:forString:errorDescription:], AppKit.subproj/NSCell.m:1298
2007-08-25 12:21:59.616 HandBrake[259] *** NSTimer discarding exception 'Invalid parameter not satisfying: aString != nil' that raised during firing of timer with target 1837800 and selector 'UpdateUI:'

The awesomeness. Tetris just got better-looking and a whole lot more fun.

Why does it try to connect to dm00042.lunarpages.com every time an unknown outward connection is made?

Awesome! I tried Sidetrack before, and it's not a bad app but it's 15$... :) This one does the same, and more, and it's free! It also contains some extra configuration options for the normal "tap" function, that I had to disable before due to it's ridiculous sensitivity. Now I can finally enable it again!

(Only gets a "four" in stability because I haven't tried it out much, so I can't be sure it's really stable.)

Another application that should have been included in the OS, but I understand that Apple doesn't, to sell more new Macs... :)

Growl

Whyatt Thrash reviewed on 09 Mar 2006
Growl is one of those features that should come preinstalled on OS X. It feels wrong to even rate it, since it's such an indispensible part of the system.

Works as advertised, but I'm still sticking with Jewelcase. Everyone that likes this should love Jewelcase.

Psst
Whyatt Thrash had trouble on 05 Jan 2006
I started up the app and got the message "Where is PsstDaemon?" and a list of apps. The PsstDaemon wheren't within the list of apps, so I force quit the app, showed package contents of it and then restarted the application. It opened up just fine, and I set the startup volume. Haven't yet tried if it works, but this is definetily a bug in any case. Using 10.4.3...
