Its quite a copy of 'Menucalendarclock', the original has more flexibility though.
The only thing better then in Menucalendarclock is the 'eye candy' factor.
Why are developers so unimaginative and lack new ideas? There are a lot of things one could put into such a nifty helper app, but they just copy and paste...disappointing!
Hi, I've been using Fildefense now for almost a year in version 1.5.
The concept is convincing and definitely a missing link to more security for Mac OSX, at least for anybody who wants to get control about new apps harassing his/ her mac.
Unfortunately the implementation is poor. Referring to the last reviewer: the GUI is very inflexible and more important, it creates issues with new software trying to access deeper parts of the system. I had severe issues to run SOFTRAID (couldn't get the software to operate until I uninstalled Filedefense) and with my backup software BRU PE (caused permanent checksum errors while backing up/ restoring).
Most important: I tried to contact the support several times - nobody answered. Thats a bad sign.
So I uninstalled and abandoned the software for now, we'll see if the dev get along with new features or anybody else picks up the idea of a proper file-monitoring software.
Hope that helps.
