I really appreciate the menu bar controls. Each available action comes in handy so I can hide Vox and focus on my work as I go through a playlist.
BUG:
It does not handle unicode characters in artist/song names. (It may be Windows-1257 and not UTF-8 in the case of the songs I listen to, I'm not sure how to check.) Please improve character set detection and display!
I love all the possible shortcuts! I have used SizzlingKeys for years, and still it's my absolute favorite iTunes controller. I don't need Growl in general, so a simple convenient floater with just enough configuration options is what made SizzlingKeys the best for me.
Thank you for this port. It's great, simple, doesn't use Flash so I really hope it can be improved in the future to be more efficient and more comfortable to use.
I vote for a volume level control within the app. With my noise canceling headphones it's still a little too loud for me at the lowest setting. Please allow that to be changed.
Additional system-wide shortcuts for song up/down-voting would be nice. Shortcut to bring up song info (for a set # of seconds) while running in the background would also be useful.
How do I make the media keys work with Pianopub instead of starting or bringing up iTunes every time? I'm using mba 2010 and F7 (play/pause) or F8 (forward) don't work with Pianopub.
It's my first mac with the F keys mapped like that, so I'm not sure if there's something I need to set somewhere.
